Intel has officially announced its newest Arc B-Series GPUs today, stating that users can expect a 24% average performance uplift over the A750 in 1440p gaming.
Intel’s “Meet the Intel Arc B-series” announcement has gone live today, and while the new B580 is slated to be “the quietest and fastest card” the company has made, we’re more interested in the generational uplift over its predecessor.
Qi Lin, Sr Director at Intel, took to the floor when it came to officially unveiling the brand’s new B580 graphics card, offering up some interesting insight into what users can expect. He wasted no time in showcasing the card’s specifications and improvements, stating that the B580 Limited Edition will run at “half the noise level of the previous Limited Edition model”.
He quickly moved into the gaming performance of the B580, stating that the card would offer up “on average, the B580 is 24% faster than the previous generation A750 at 1440p, and much more in some games.”.
Big uplift over A-series Arc GPUs
Intel spent most of the announcements discussing the value this card will bring to the table, stating that, while there are plenty of GPUs to choose from, the B580 will win when it comes to value.
According to the marketing materials in the announcements, Intel state that the B580 will offer 25% better performance per dollar than their competition. He concluded by saying “there is no better bang for your gaming buck.” – which is a pretty bold statement when you factor in some of the exciting GPUs that reside in the $249 price point.
The B570, which wasn’t discussed nearly as much, will retail for $219, respectively. In terms of availability, the B580 will be available from Dec 13th, 2024, whereas the B570 won’t hit shelves until Jan 16th, 2025.
