Intel Arc B580 graphics card listings go live, but there’s one brand you’ll probably want to avoid
You can trust PC Guide: Our team of experts use a combination of independent consumer research, in-depth testing where appropriate – which will be flagged as such, and market analysis when recommending products, software and services. Find out how we test here. Release day – December 13th – has arrived for the Intel Arc B580. You can go ahead and figure out where to buy a new Intel Battlemage GPU in our dedicated guide, but there is one thing that immediately caught our interest. The new B580 has been hailed as one of the best-value graphics cards in years, with a $249 MSRP which holds up for the most part (you may be paying an extra $20-$30 for some of the more premium SKUs). However, one of Intel’s announced board partners, GUNNIR, seems to have jacked up the price, which has left us with a few questions. In Intel Arc B580 reviews, the GPU was even called “a budget card that doesn’t suck for once” and we fully agree with that sentiment. But that value for money falls a little flat when some models are asking for more than $100 extra. Best Intel Arc B580 GPUs at Newegg GUNNIR Intel Arc B580 is over $100 more expensive than MSRP Whether the pricing is final, remains a placeholder until more AIB cards are listed on Amazon, or is simply an unofficial listing, is yet to be determined. One thing we do know is that these GUNNIR cards are priced more on both Amazon and Newegg, which would suggest the price is accurate. Source: Newegg Acer, Sparkle, and ASRock are offering good prices We’d say that if you’re looking to buy the Intel Arc B580 on launch day, go for one of the cheaper options from Acer, ASRock, and Sparkle – all of which are much closer to the $249 MSRP. Intel itself has claimed the card “wins in value” and this is only true if you can actually buy one for a decent price. At the time of writing, Amazon is baron if you want something close to MSRP, but Newegg offers a good selection.
